Malham Show (27th August 2005)

Malham Show

Malham Show is held annually in the heart of beautiful Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales on August Bank Holiday Saturday. Under the shadow of Malham Cove this traditional agricultural and family country show has been taking place for nearly 100 years.

Events and attractions take place on the show field all day: with some judging and horse events starting at 9am, main ring events start at 12 noon.

Malhamdale Meander - Long Distance Walk (7th May 2005)

Malham Meander

The Malhamdale Meander is a long distance walk that takes place once a year in and around Malham in the Yorkshire Dales.

26 miles in 10 hours.....

A circular route from Kirkby Malham Parish Hall, GR 896610 taking in Malham Tarn, Gordale Scar, Parsons Pulpit and splendid views of Malhamdale.

Start 8.30am. Saturday May the 7th 2005

Entry £8 including hot meal, badge and certificate. Limit 250, No dogs.

Again this year the Mini Meander 9.3 miles approx, same route but returns from Gordale Bridge via Janet Foss and Malham to Hanlith Bridge and Finish at Kirkby Malham Parish Hall.

Malham Safari Trail (28th May to 5th June 2005)

Malham Safari

Visit Malham and go on Safari!

Have fun and take a walk around the village to find the Animals and complete the Quiz.

See how many butterflies you can find.

Quiz sheets £1 - Prizes for the first three correct entries drawn from a hat at the end of the Safari.

Proceeds of the 2004 Safari raised £4,650 which was distributed between Kirkby Malham School, Kirkby Malham Church and Malham Chapel
