Daelnet and FMD

DAELNET has published a foot and mouth update every weekday since February to keep readers informed on a crisis of critical importance to all country folk.

Today, despite a suspicious case under investigation on a farm at Wigglesworth, near Settle, DEFRA reports that there have been no confirmed new cases in the UK for five days - the longest clear run since the epidemic was first spotted.

In future, we will only report new developments if and when they arise. This, we hope, will be a case of "no news is good news."
