The tiny, straggling village, dominated by famous Stonyhurst College, acquired its little church in 1838. Local people have
cherished and maintained its spotless, bright and welcoming atmosphere. There is a delightful children's corner and, in the
graveyard, a most unusual monument to a young Japanese official, buried there in 1930.
