An exhibition of original paintings in oils, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, ink and wax is to be held at Bentham Gallery during February 2010.

The artist, Barbara Jean Harrison, spends many holidays in this area and finds the influence of the Dales is represented in many of her paintings.

The work is varied and interesting - some subjects are created from photographs taken by Barbara and others are a result of the varying moods and seasons of the countryside.

Barbara is a member of Bradford Arts Club and New Horizons in Bradford and has sold her paintings at many local exhibitions in Bradford as well as having works chosen at the judged Open exhibition at Cartwright Hall in Bradford.

The many styles and mediums used by Barbara have a wide appeal and all the work is original. There is a varied range of sizes to choose from such as attractive wax painted cards or larger framed paintings that have been worked in either oils, watercolour, pastel, ink, acrylic or wax.
