The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority’s Yoredale offices in Bainbridge will be playing host to a new exhibition in the New Year.
John Cockshaw, who lives in Ripon, is the latest in a series of local artists who have taken up invitations to showcase their work in the reception area of the offices, which are open from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
He will be showing a selection of abstract and landscape paintings as part of his exhibition – entitled Sprinkled with Colour and Magic – that will run until the end of February.
After studying Fine Art to Masters level in Sheffield, John undertook further Art training and experience in Devon and Cornwall, including prop and set building in theatre and film projects in schools.
His oil and acrylic paintings show colourful interpretations of landscape, while expressive abstract paintings are often based upon a floral and pattern based theme.
He has exhibited in Ilkley, Skipton, Harrogate and Bradford.
