A new cycling group take its inaugural ride at a special activities day in Richmond next month.
The ‘Cycle 4 Fun’ club – which will encourage riders of all ages and abilities to join short weekly ’fun’ rides – has been set up as a result of the cycle referral scheme which offered short sessions as part of a fitness recuperation programme. People on that scheme wanted to join forces for short social rides.
The group will be launched on April 9 at the day of free activities at Richmond Station. Children and adults will be able to try out canoeing, archery, boot camps, led walks with the Walk for Health group and cycle rides. There will be activities for children with the Play Rangers and buggy fit sessions.
Events take place from 10am until 3pm.
