Dance in Northallerton

[Friday 25 September 2009]

Dancers of all ages and abilities will take to the stage in Northallerton later this weekend.

The town’s High Street will be packed with people of all ages for this years ‘Day of Dance’. Line dancing, solo salsa, modern, street, scottish country and belly dancing are just some of the demonstrations taking place on a specially constructed stage next to the Town Hall from 10.30am until 3pm on Saturday September 26.

Potential new dancers can also chat with representatives of the various dance groups who will be resident in the Town Hall. Refreshments will also be served to raise funds for the registered charity ‘Let’s Trek for Children – Kith and Kids’.

And for those still wanting more there is a ‘Line Dance Night’ from 7.30pm at the Town Hall – beginners are welcome and instruction will be given. Entry is £3.
