Amateur photographers across North Yorkshire are being given the chance to see their work "in print" in a competition organised by the county council's library and information service. The service is seeking inspiring pictures to illustrate the beauty and diversity of the North Yorkshire landscape.
And six winners who submit the best photographs will see their work turned into limited edition library cards which will be used by library members across the county. They will also receive £50 in High Street vouchers.
County Councillor Chris Metcalfe, Executive Member for Adult and Community Services, said: "I know we're biased, but we believe North Yorkshire is the most beautiful county in England.
"To prove the point, we'd like all our budding photographers to get out and about with their cameras."
