Farmers and owners of small rural firms looking for advice on how to structure their business while maximising tax efficiencies are being invited to attend a half day business planning seminar in Richmond.
Organised by rural economy experts, the CLA, in association with Gray’s Chartered Surveyors, the seminar on Thursday, April 10 will outline the key legal, financial and practical issues of restructuring a business.
And according to Gray’s managing director, Calum Gillhespy, the event will be particularly relevant to family-run firms. He said: “Many family-run businesses find it difficult to ensure that all family members are equitably rewarded.
“This seminar will examine these issues in the context of taxation planning as well as look at how farms and other rural businesses can restructure to take full advantage of their particular circumstances.”
Held at The Station in Richmond, the event begins at 2pm and finishes at 4.30pm. Throughout the afternoon, three experienced speakers will examine the consequences of business restructuring from a legal, financial and practical viewpoint.
Tickets cost £5 for CLA members and £10 for non-CLA members. To book a place, please contact the CLA regional office on 01347 823803 or email info.yorkshire@cla.org.uk
