PUBLIC toilets that were recently given a £20 000 makeover may be forced to close overnight following a spate of vandalism.
...any help local people can give to stop the vandalism would be much
appreciated

The Revamped toilets in the Dales Countryside Museum car park in Hawes are run by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, which will now have to find extra cash to clean up after yobs caused a huge mess over several evenings. The Authority is now calling on the public to help put a stop to the costly attacks.
Joyce Whitley, the YDNPA's Contracts Manager, said: "We are very disappointed to find that, after only a week or so, vandalism has started.
"If it doesn't stop then the National Park Authority will have no alternative but to lock the toilets between 5pm and 10am.
"We have notified the police and any help local people can give to stop the vandalism would be much appreciated."
Vandalism is an ongoing problem at sites across the national park. Earlier this year park bosses warned that vandals were risking serious injury as they climbed on the roof of a toilet block in Kettlewell to dislodge slates.

Don't close the toilets so everyone suffers.....that's the easy option...catch the culprits and make them clean it up and dish out some punishment.
