Customers at Craven District Council’s Craven Pool & Fitness Centre will notice that the poolside café has had an upgrade.

The newly opened coffee lounge has replaced the outdated café, boasting a traditional coffee machine which serves fresh bean-to-cup coffees. The improved menu now offers paninis, smoothies, salads, soups and other healthy alternatives. The makeover, which cost under £3,000, includes a modern coffee bar look with breakfast bar and comfortable sofas where customers can relax.

Councillor Ken Hart, Lead Member for Leisure at the Council, said: “A makeover for the café has been long overdue. We’re hoping that by improving the food and the ambience people will take the time to linger for a coffee, snack or meal after their exercise session.”

New opening times at the Coffee Lounge are: 11am-8pm weekdays and 10am-4pm Sat/Sun.
