CHILDREN attending a Keighley nursery can now play in better surroundings after their building received a much needed lick of paint from some kind-hearted Yorkshire Water employees.
Yorkshire water team give nursery a facelift
Thirteen members of staff from the company's customer supplies and metering department had their paint pots at the ready when they arrived at the Keighley Community Nursery on Marlborough Street.
The team took part in the latest Business in the Community Cares Challenge, which last year saw over 400 employees carrying out voluntary work across the region.
Local visitors to the nursery can now enjoy a clean and colourful surrounding; team leader for the day, Kirsty Legge commented:
"The exterior of the nursery was in real desperate need for a new lease of life and unfortunately the nursery does not have the funds available to spruce up the exterior themselves. So myself and team members were really happy to help out with this challenge to give the nursery a face lift.
"The day's challenge went really well and the finished result left the nursery with a better appearance for local visitors to enjoy. This was a great challenge to be involved in and we wish the nursery every success with their new look."
