Crime reduction session in Richmond

[Tuesady 24 March 2009]

RESIDENTS are being invited to discuss crime reduction and safety issues with a wide range of local agencies at an event in Richmond next week.

The Richmond West Safer Neighbourhood session will take place on Monday, March 30, between 6pm and 7pm at the Reeth Road Social Club in Richmond. It is an opportunity for the local community to discuss any issues or concerns they may have, and receive crime reduction and safety advice from experts.

Representatives from the local Safer Neighbourhood Police Team, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, YMCA, the Vale & Dale Secure but Safe scheme and Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership will all be in attendance and available to discuss safety issues.

A partnership spokesman said: “This is an ideal opportunity for residents to meet the people who work to make their local community even safer, as well as raise any issues or concerns they may have.”
