A Yorkshire Dales based Indie band are said to be very close to worldwide success with their forthcoming first release.

The song, released by Bedale based The Conspirators on Monday 3rd March via Transcend Records, features a re-make of the Fairport Convention classic, One Sure Thing, the new 2008 version of which features guest lead vocals from original Fairport singer, Judy Dyble. The second part of the double AA side is a Conspirators original, Take Me To Your Leader.

Both tracks have gained an enormous amount of local, regional and national press and radio play, and the pre-sale figures through the HMV website indicate a nationwide chart position in release week is looking likely.

The tracks are also being released in Germany, France, USA, Japan, and the Czech Republic, amongst others.

The band have received praise for the Fairport re-make from current, and former members including Simon Nicol, Richard Thompson, and such legendary figures as Robert Fripp, and Dave Swarbrick.

One Sure Thing / Take Me To Your Leader, is released worldwide via Transcend Records, on Monday 3rd March 2008.
