Malham Show set to go ahead this year
MALHAM Show is set to go ahead this coming Saturday despite the atrocious weather that has affected parts of the Yorkshire Dales.
Malham Show is held annually in the heart of Malhamdale in the Yorkshire Dales on August Bank Holiday Saturday. Under the shadow of Malham Cove this traditional agricultural and family country show has been taking place for over 100 years.
After a special meeting on Tuesday evening the show committee were pleased to announce the “Show must go on” complete with excellent entries in Cattle and Sheep after the foot & mouth disappointment last year. There are also very good Heavy Horse entries and our usual excellent Exhibits tent for Horticulture, Art, Photography and Children’s Classes added a show spokesman.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy the Fell Race, Mountain Bike Trailquest, Children’s Sports, Punch & Judy, Clown, Farmers Market, Tyke Trial Cyclo Demo, Brass Band and much more.
Admission is £6, Parking & Children under 16 are free.
