Paramedic Mick with the Aysgarth pupils
PUPILS from Aysgarth Preparatory School gathered round to say 'goodbye' to Richmond-based Emergency Medical Technician Mick Whittaker, before he left in his Rapid Response Vehicle.
Mick, a Paramedic with the Tees, East and North Yorkshire Ambulance Service (TENYAS), visited the school to help the children with their project 'People that help us.'
He said: "I explained how to make a 999 call and demonstrated a range of A&E equipment and even bandaged one of the teachers.
"The kids were well behaved and showed a great deal of interest. I think the highlight for them was when I switched on my sirens."
