PLANNING surgeries run by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority will be restarting in the Settle area later this month.
The surgeries, which aim to give help and advice to people wanting to submit planning applications within the National Park, were put on hold earlier this year when the area Senior Planning Officer Daniel Child left the Authority.
His place has now been taken by Lisa Bartlett, who will hold the surgeries every Thursday for residents living within the National Park boundary in the following parishes: Austwick, Clapham, Giggleswick, Hellifield, Horton-in-Ribblesdale, Ingleton, Langcliffe, Lawkland, Long Preston, Settle, Stainforth and Thornton-in-Lonsdale.
The surgeries will run from 2pm to 4pm in the Settle Tourist Information Centre from 29 May and are on an appointment-only basis.
Lisa said: “The aim is to give people the chance to get advice and answers to any questions they may have before they submit planning applications so that the whole procedure goes as smoothly as possible with the minimum amount of delay.
“I’ll do all I can to help and I hope people will take advantage of this free service.”
