Lessons for Yorkshire Dales house history detectives

[Thursday 19 June 2008]

EXPERT help will be on hand at the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes this coming Saturday (21 June) for anyone wanting to find out about the history of their home.

The Museum, owned by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, has teamed up with the North Yorkshire County Record Office to stage an afternoon of lectures and advice on how to look at the history of houses.

Topics covered during the three-hour session will include finding out what resources are available and what other people have achieved through examining a case study.

There is a booking fee of £8 and free car parking tickets are available for the event from the Museum reception.

For details and to book please contact the Museum in Station Yard on 01969 666210 or email hawes@yorkshiredales.org.uk.
