AN advice service for rural communities in and around one Yorkshire Dales market town has made a welcome return this month.
CAB returns to Leyburn
Carole Dew, Head of the Council Community Offices commented: "The Council is delighted the Citizens Advice Bureau is returning to Leyburn. It was a service well supported by local residents, and we hope it will be again.
"This is another excellent example of how partnership working increases the customer experience for Richmondshire residents."
The scheme, which was originally forced to cease after funding problems, has gained financial support from the Elmhouse Trust for 20 months, and will offer advice on issues ranging from housing and employment, to more general enquiries.
Angie House, Bureau Manager, is also happy to see the scheme up and running again, saying: "thanks to the Trust and the Council, we can once again offer this invaluable service to members of the public."
The advice sessions will be by appointment only. For more information contact Leyburn Community Office on 01969 624970 or the Citizens Advice Bureau on 01748 823862.
