The Conspirators
THE wealth of musical talent across our regions is considerable, but determination and hard work is needed to succeed. That determination has paid off for one Yorkshire Dales group as their song took the top spot in an American indie chart.
Local indie pop music group The Conspirators, based in the small market town of Bedale, reached the number one slot in the American KIAC independent music chart with their song 'Turning Green'. The number was released under Australian based record label Astral Records.
The 5 piece outfit have been together just 4 months and their upbeat spine tingling music has made quite a mark in the music industry. Compared to such diverse artists as Iggy Pop, Fleetwood Mac, The Pixies and Rolling Stones, The Conspirators have both male and female vocals at the front, with 2 powerful guitarists, a gnarly bassist and hard hitting female drummer.
The band is currently enjoying other record label interest from both UK and overseas companies and hope a deal will be imminent.
