[Friday 14 May 2010]
Icons of England

IN this collection of original choices, a cast of high profile and well respected commentators reveal their favourite representation of rural England adding personal anecdotes and refreshing insights into what the countryside really means to them.

Many of the contributors bring their own special touch, presenting a refreshingly eclectic variety of personal icons, from pub signs to seaside piers, from cattle grids to canal boats, and from village cricket to nimbies.
