Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) has now launched its Events Programme for 2011. Events take place between April and October and are designed to help both visitors and residents explore and appreciate the outstanding Nidderdale landscape.
The programme is packed with variety and includes something for everyone! There are fun family events such as woodland adventure days and a farm walk. Those who like to get more involved can have a go at the traditional skill of dry stone walling, make their own bird box or spend the day bracken bashing! Or if you would like to find out a bit more about the area there are a range of guided walks focusing on heritage, geology and wildlife. There is even the opportunity to go on a moorland safari with a gamekeeper!
The full programme can be found on the AONB website at www.nidderdaleaonb.org.uk and it will also be in our 2011 visitor guide which will be available from early April in Tourist Information Centres and local tourist attractions. Alternatively, for a copy of the events programme leaflet, please ring the AONB Office on 01423 712950, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
