The World of James Herriot has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland!
Not only does its festive exhibition explore the world of the Nativity, but the house is dressed for the season 40s style – paper garlands and fir garlands adorn the house.
Children over the age of eight visiting the centre next week can join in the fun at a special ‘Nativity Scene Workshop’ - they can build a nativity scene, complete with the Holy Family, shepherds and sheep. Booking for the December 20 event is essential and costs £5.It takes place from 10.30am – 12.30pm.
The museum is also holding two special ‘drop in festive fun days’ for all the family, between 11am – 3pm on December 21 and 22. Families can pop in to the centre to enjoy a paper craft session and make their own Christmas tree decorations - normal admission prices apply for the two days.
The centre will be open every day in the run up to Christmas from 11 am – 4 pm (last admission 3pm).
It will be closed December 24, 25 and 26 and New Years Day.
