Young people with a talent for music, dance, comedy, poetry or theatre have the chance to perform at a festival in Craven alongside established bands, dancers and DJs.
The festival, which is called AfterShock Craven and is a free event, will be held in Skipton. It is a mini version of North Yorkshire's annual youth and arts festival, Culture Shock, which is run by the County Council's Connecting Youth Culture. As part of the day's events young people are being offered a showcase slot as part of the evening's entertainment.
Craven's AfterShock festival, which will be headlined by Utah Saints, will also offer young people the opportunity to take part in a variety of workshops, including street dance; Indian drumming, manga drawing, banner painting, didgeridoo, DJing and MCing.
It will take place on October 24th 12noon to 10pm for 13-19 year olds.
County Councillor Heather Garnett, North Yorkshire's Executive Member for Youth Services said: "There is a wealth of talent among North Yorkshire's young people and AfterShock will provide yet another opportunity for an exciting and creative event with a whole range of performances and workshops. We hope as many people as possible will come along and join in."
