Crime meeting for Bedale

RESIDENTS of one Yorkshire Dales town and the surrounding villages are to get a regular chance to question crime experts.

This is a great way of finding out what is happening as well as airing your

Quarterly meetings between neighbourhood policing teams, community safety officers, the District Council and the Bedale and Villages Community Plan Forum have been set up.

Held in Bedale, they will allow the police to update the community on crime figures and current initiatives as well as give residents a chance to raise their concerns. Future priorities will then be agreed which will be monitored by the Forum.

Bob Pocklington, Chair of the Forum said, "This is a great way of finding out what is happening as well as airing your views. We urge everyone to come along."

The next meeting takes place at Bedale Hall Today (September 13) at 7.30pm. Bedale's new neighbourhood policing Sergeant Stuart Granger - will be there as well as representatives from the Hambleton Community Safety Partnership.
