THE OWNERS of small rural businesses which are “bucking the trend” are being invited to enter a county-wide competition with an aim to inspire other companies with new ideas to fight the recession.

Business Link Yorkshire is staging the competition to spotlight businesses which have come up with new ideas or products which are improving productivity and efficiency at a time when the recession is hitting some areas of Yorkshire and the Humber hard.

Success would mean valuable publicity for the winners – and act as an inspiration for others who are struggling.
