Threshfield-based Wharfedale Rugby Club scored a try when company boss Brian Verity presented a cheque for £100,000 to sponsor the National League 2 club for a further three years.
Skipton Properties also sponsors Skipton, Keighley and North Ribblesdale each year and donates £5,000 to the Yorkshire Federated Society of Referees.
The Cross Hills based new homes developer is continuing its sponsorship deal with Wharfedale which will run through to the 2009/10 season. The company has previously donated £100,000 to support the club from 2003 until present.
"We have supported Wharfedale Rugby on and off for approximately 10 years," says Brian Verity, "We decided to continue with our three-year sponsorship deal as it is important that the local club receives support so that it can continue to compete on a national level."
Celebrating 20 years in business this autumn, Skipton Properties, has donated more than £120,000 to local community groups and charities in the past year alone, and this year nominated Manorlands Hospice as its 'Charity of the Year' - doubling its donation to £20,000 as part of its 20th anniversary festivities.
