COMMUNITY projects could be entitled to funding to help tackle some of the most important issues facing residents in one Yorkshire Dales district.
Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership (RCSP) has launched its planning process for the next financial year - and is looking to identify projects that it will help, including:
- Tackle violence, including domestic violence
- Build respect and reduce antisocial behaviour
- Make our roads safer and reduce accidents
- Reduce crime and the fear of crime
- Tackle alcohol and drug abuse
- Contribute to reducing re-offending across the county
RCSP Chair Liz Smith: "We know there are many fantastic projects running across Richmondshire that could really benefit from extra funding, and of course we are always looking for new ideas - so we would encourage as many people as possible to get in touch.
"We would particularly invite small projects, but there is limited funding available, and so schemes that demonstrate clear links with our priorities are more likely to be successful."
Expressions of interest must be made by February 2. Electronic forms are available at www.richmondshire.gov.uk or by emailing hilary.gould@richmondshire.gov.uk
