Consultation for affordable housing
A CONSULTATION event about proposed affordable housing provision is being held in one Yorkshire Dales town next week and aims to garner views and support for the development.
Housing bosses in Richmondshire hope that Colburn residents will use the event to give their views on plans to create two bungalows near St Cuthbert's Church on an area of land adjacent to the Church.
"We have been working with the Church and the Parish of Colburn to see if this land could be better used", says Richmondshire District Council's Community Committee Chair, Councillor Fleur Butler.
"We hope that if the bungalows are built, the church could also benefit from some much needed repairs. Creating affordable housing for local people is a priority for the Council and we work with a variety of partners throughout District in an effort to achieve this."
The consultation, which is being held on a drop in basis, takes place at Colburn Village Hall on Wednesday 13 June from 2.30pm to 7.30pm.
