The Cave Rescue Organisation, which deals with Cave and Mountain Rescue in the Yorkshire Dales, has launched its brand new vehicle.
Money was raised for a new Landrover to replace an older rescue vehicle, and the handover was made at Ribblesdale Landrover in Settle on Wednesday afternoon.
The family firm offered the CRO favourable rates, and have agreed to help the charity look after the vehicle.
Steve Finch is a Duty Controller with the CRO; He says the new Landover is crucial: "our vehicles our key, they contain all our communications equipment and all the equipment the team needs.
"If the vehicle isn't 100 per cent, everything else suffers.
"This new vehicle is longer than our old one, it allows us to put all our equipment in and it gives us the safety of putting in the team members in forward facing seats.
"Modern Landrovers can cope with a lot more than the old ones could."
