Gervase Phinn
FANS of renowned author Gervase Phinn have another opportunity to see him in person tomorrow as he appears at Lakes Leisure in Kendal in support of Dales Charity Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust.
One of Britain's most popular writers and performers, Gervase is best known for his 4 autobiographical novels 'Up and Down in the Dales', 'The Other Side of The Dale', 'Over Hill and Dale' and 'Head Over Heels In The Dales'.
He is passionate about the Yorkshire Dales and his association with the Trust began in the late nineties. Supporters of the Trust from that time will remember his highly entertaining after-dinner speech at Broughton Hall in November 1998.
Since then the Trust and Gervase's writing career have gone from strength to strength and in celebration of the Trust's last ten years of achievements funding education, restoration and community projects throughout the Dales he is appearing in 'An Audience with Gervase Phinn'.
As well as entertaining audience members with anecdotes of his work and experiences working as a School Inspector throughout the Yorkshire Dales he is offering a chance for people to ask him questions.
