Northallerton is to host its first ‘film festival’ next weekend.
Based on a ‘Made in Yorkshire’ theme eight films all with a link to the county will be shown over three days.
The festival is an extension to the popular ‘first Friday cinema’ scheme run by Northallerton Rotary Club every month – two films are shown at Hambleton Forum on the first Friday of the month. The club wants to see if matinee performances are popular and if there is an audience for films that are not recent releases.
The event – from March 13 - 15 is being funded by Screen Yorkshire, the UK Film Council, Yorkshire Forward and Hambleton Arts.
The screenings are:
Friday March 13:
- 2.30 pm - Agatha (A)
- 5.30 pm - The Railway Children (U)
- 7.30 pm - This Sporting Life (15)
Saturday March 14:
