A Northallerton charity is aiming to raise money for a local hospice next week and is giving a final call for entrants to its first ever Midnight Walk.
Herriot Hospice Homecare is a small charity based in Northallerton and serves patients with life-limiting illness throughout the Yorkshire dales districts of Hambleton and Richmondshire.
The team works alongside District Nurses, the Macmillan team and other specialist nurses as part of the palliative care team which enables patients and carers to cope at home.
The eight mile sponsored walk around Richmond kicks off at the Round Howe Car Park. Registration is from 11pm with the walk itself beginning at midnight.
The walk takes place on 12 September, the entry fee is £5 and all walkers receive a free t-shirt.
