CHART favourites The Holloways are set entertain fans as they headline at a major music and arts festival been held in the Yorkshire Dales this coming weekend.
The four-piece band from London, whose current single "Generator" went straight in the charts at number 14, will perform an open-air night-time gig before a 4,000 strong crowd at the main stage of North Yorkshire's premier festival - Festival 07 - in Northallerton on Saturday (July 7).
Earlier this month, North Yorkshire County Council, as the organiser of the event, announced that television's "Gene Simmons Rock School" star Lil Chris will also be on the bill.
Festival 07 - almost a mini-Glastonbury, according to the organisers - includes a carnival through Northallerton High Street, dance, theatre, workshops on everything from graffiti to samba drumming … and, of course, wall-to-wall music.
Councillor Caroline Patmore, executive member for children and young people's service, said the booking of The Holloways was "a real coup."
She added: "Festival 07 really is shaping up to be the best so far. Every year, the names are getting bigger. It will be fantastic."
Among the bands lined up to appear with The Holloways and Lil Chris are Four Day Hombre, Radioplastic, Freerunner, and All Sexy But Ginger.
To get tickets for Festival 07, go to www.festival07.co.uk, or call 01609 532170, weekdays between 9am and 5pm. Tickets will also be available on the day … until they sell out.
