Angus and Ross Theatre Company with The Mystery of Irma Vep
The new autumn season of Rural Arts On Tour is now underway bringing theatre, music and comedy to village halls and other community venues throughout North Yorkshire.
Shows include:
- Dance company 103 Falling Birds
- Guitar virtuoso Eduardo Niebla
- Comedian Dominic Holland
- Simpson, Corbett and Bettison with a tale of the Great War
- Angus and Ross Theatre Company with The Mystery of Irma Vep an outrageously funny play with two actors taking all eight parts!
The season concludes with in December with a delightful puppet show “Who’s Been Sitting in my Chair?” by Freehand Theatre Company which is aimed at 3-7 year olds.
Shows are in village venues across North Yorkshire and we hope that there is something for everyone.
On Tour Co-ordinator, Janice McVay says:
"We’ve been running the On Tour programme for thirteen years now and the challenge is to find companies and performers who can squeeze into the smallest of venues and appeal to the widest possible audience range"
"We’re looking at extending the scheme this year and we’ll be holding a special ‘Get it on in Your Village’ event at the Old Courthouse in Thirsk on Saturday 7th November to encourage more villages to take part in ON Tour"
A copy of the full ON Tour Autumn programme and details of the Get it On in Your Village event are available from the Old Courthouse, in Thirsk (tel: 01845 526536, email: becki.tighe@yorkshiredales.org.uk or visit www.ruralarts.org)
