A LONG term programme of engineering work that will cause some disruption on the famous Settle-Carlisle line is set to continue throughout April.
The latest series of work is due to take place in the Kirkstall to Shipley area and will block the lines out of Leeds all day on every Sunday in April.
Leeds-Carlisle/Morecambe trains will be diverted to start from Bradford Forster Square and depart from Shipley with connecting buses between Leeds and Shipley.
Morecambe/Carlisle-Leeds trains will be diverted to terminate at Bradford Forster Square with connecting buses between Shipley and Leeds. Overall journey times from and to Leeds will be extended.
Further major engineering work on the Settle & Carlisle line is expected to take place every day from 7 July to 22 July, and every weekend from mid-September until the end of the year.
