A STEAM train with a combined age of over 500 years will be puffing its way along Haworth's famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway tomorrow (Sunday 2nd July).
The train starred in the classic 1970 film 'The Railway Children' and includes the fabulous 'Old Gentleman's Saloon' from 1871 and the famous 'Green Dragon' steam locomotive from 1887.
Also on the train will be a unique six-wheeled coach from 1882, a Metropolitan Railway nine compartment coach from 1919, and a brake coach from 1910 - all of which also featured in the film.
The combined age of this unique train is a staggering five hundred and sixty one years - giving a whole new meaning to the old advertising slogan, 'This is the age of the train'.
Cream Teas will be served to passengers in The Old Gentleman's Saloon and the award-winning Hade Edge Brass Band will entertain visitors at Oxenhope Station.
