A NEW style of business seminar which allows the owners of small North Yorkshire businesses to get top- class professional advice without leaving their desks has proved so successful that two more have been organised.

Aware that many business people in the county - and particularly in the Yorkshire Dales - often face long journeys to attend meetings in fixed locations, Business Link York and North Yorkshire pioneered online seminars via the web.

It means that managers can sit at their computers in their own offices and take in the advice on offer free apart from the cost of a standard rate telephone call. For small businesses in particular, the savings in travel time are enormous.

Because of the success of the first cyber-seminars, two more have been arranged: Employment Law, February 8, 1 pm, and Getting Marketing Right, February 21, 1.30 pm.
