THE famous Dickensian fayre weekends in Grassington before Christmas now attract thousands of visitors from all parts of Northern England - but also cause a mega-problem by clogging up the tiny Yorkshire Dales village with hundreds of cars.
To help ease the situation, the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has negotiated new timetables with local transport suppliers to allow more visitors to there by bus.
Special bus links operated by Arriva Yorkshire will be providing transport to the event on December 3, 10 and 17.
These extra services are in addition to the regular Saturday services to Grassington: - Service 72, hourly from Skipton Rail Station and Service 74, two-hourly from Ilkley Rail Station.
