THE Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has a new member - and a former employee - in Andrew Osborne, who worked as the park's media officer for five years before becoming a regional director of the environmental charity EnCams.
This runs the Keep Britain Tidy operation from offices on Wigan Pier and others aimed at reducing antisocial behaviour. He lives in Skipton.
In another development, the national park has once again been awarded Investors in People (IiP) status, which it first gained three years ago and has been continued following a second assessment.
IiP is a national award aimed at encouraging organisations to continue training staff so they can reach their full potential.
Says chief executive David Butterworth: "We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded IiP status again - it is a reflection of the authority's determination to attract the highest quality staff by offering the very best working environment."
