Yorkshire's unique wine experience

Tuesday 23 March 2004

After twelve months of careful planning and close consultation with the team at Daelnet we have great pleasure in announcing the launch of www.winecave.co.uk.

Wine Cave

Yorkshire's most unique wine experience, across the road from the Angel Inn at Hetton was completed in July 2003. Since then The Wine Cave has been running tutored tasting events, selling wines and even has its own wine club for the villages of Rylstone, Hetton and Cracoe.

"Daelnet have done a fantastic job" writes Pascal Watkins, who runs the Wine Cave. "We didn't just rush in to it, but instead unpacked all the possible dynamics and aspects that the site could involve taking the possibilities to every dimension. In the end what we have is a structure, a foundation that will allow us to keep adding to the site as the business grows and evolves."

Wine Cave

The site has a real classical feel to it and reflects the classical quality which has become synonymous with The Angel at Hetton Partnership over the last twenty years.

With updatable news features and events pages, the site will be a vital publicity tool in announcing such items as a planned "Yorkshire Cheese and wine tasting evening in association with the Wensleydale Creamery" and a "Bliekers smoked food and wine matching evening" in addition to this the Wine Cave will be hosting informal wine tasting evenings such as 'an introduction to wine tasting' and a 'wine quiz night'.

Tastings start from £10 per person.
