Rylstone based balloon company Airborne Adventures return to the TV screen again twice this month (September) following on from previous appearances on Dales Diary, Emmerdale Farm, Pieces of Parkin, Brookside and more.
The first of two appearances is for the Channel 4 program Britain A.D. which will be shown on Monday September 13.
The smile.co.uk balloon was provided for some aerial photography of an archaeological site near to Malton North Yorkshire, where the balloon complete with cameraman, producer and sound recorder flew one evening last September from the archaeological site giving the audience breathtaking aerial views of the surrounding area. Trailers featuring the balloon are already being shown on Channel 4.
Reporter Sophie Hull takes a flight with Airborne Adventures M.D. and Chief Pilot David McCutcheon over the Yorkshire Dales from Rathmell. The flight ends at Wharfedale rugby club Threshfield after an exciting flight over the Malhamdale moors which were partly obscured by fog. Filming takes place in the basket, also using a pole camera and from a helicopter which flew alongside the smile.co.uk balloon. The location then moves to Catalonia where Sophie films David conducting a flight over the Spanish countryside with a corporate group from Howdens Joinery.
