AN INVITATION has gone out urging people to go bats in the Yorkshire Dales National Park this August. Or, if they prefer going underground, they can visit some of the park's famous caves - with expert guides to ensure they do not get lost.
An evening's bat-watching is just one of many events and guided walks being staged by the national park authority to attract visitors who may not be hardened walkers and potholers but who do wish to know more about the Dales and the life of the local people.
