New Settle web site goes live

A new, state-of-the art website for the Settle area is going 'live' on March 8th. Located at www.settle.org.uk, the attractive site offers a comprehensive range of news and information about the Settle & the Three Peaks area.

Funded by the Yorkshire Forward Rural Recovery Fund and put together by Settle & District Chamber of Trade and local firm Daelnet, the site will prove an invaluable source of information about the area. "Where to stay, where to eat out, where to shop, where to walk, and after you've walked, even where to find a chiropodist! It can all be found on our new web-site" said Steve Finch, Settle's newly appointed business development officer.

The site is not just aimed at visitors to the area, but also at the local community. Information on subjects such as local business services, schools and colleges and sports and leisure facilities can also be found on the site.

Said Steve Finch "We want the site to show the Settle area not just as a superb holiday location, but also as a truly outstanding place in which to live and work. The heart of the Dales is now just a 'click' away." A major competition to launch the web-site is due to be announced in the next few weeks.
