Play it safe in the Dales
Thurs 29 March

AS WE report earlier, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is organising a calendar of events varying from guided walks to craft shows to attract visitors to "safe" parks of the Dales.

The new events programme, which will run throughout April, has been drawn up by the park authority after it cancelled its original April events programme due to the foot and mouth outbreak and the closure of the footpaths and bridleways

Karen Griffiths, interpretation officer, says: "With the public set to return to the countryside this Easter we have revamped our events programme to ensure that there is something on offer to appeal to people of all ages and tastes."

"We will be leading village walks, running craft demonstrations and laying on fun events for children throughout April."

For information on the April events programme please phone 01756 752 748.
